For those of you who are interested in Church History.
As you may know, Pope Pius XII is often unjustly maligned in the press for ignoring the Holocaust during WWII.
Monday of this week was Holocaust Remembrance Day at the United Nations. It featured and an event, “Remembering the Holocaust: the Documented Efforts of the Catholic Church to Save Lives.” A summary of the proceedings has been written by University of Mississippi Professor of Law Ronald Rychlak. The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights has posted a summary of questions answered at the event which document the Church’s and Pius XII’s actual role during the Holocaust.
